Kate’s back on your screens again tomorrow night with the final episode of Escape to the Farm on Channel 5. Look out for the ESSE range cooker in the demonstration kitchen at her farm perched high on a hilltop above the Wye Valley in South Wales.
Kate has been using ESSE range cookers for heating her rural retreat for more than a decade now and for cookery demonstrations at her working farm: Humble by Nature, where she teaches country crafts and rural skills.
Cooking with locally sourced, seasonal ingredients has been a major part of the new show’s appeal, with Kate preparing a series of mouth-watering recipes on her ESSE.
It’s the first time Kate has allowed cameras full access to her farm in Monmouthshire, where she rears pigs, cows, sheep and goats and – as the show makes clear – for Kate, this is a working farm which means 24/7 hard graft.
Escape to the Farm airs at 9pm on Tuesday evening on Channel 5. Previous episodes have seen Kate fishing for trout on the nearby River Wye, foraging for wild food, making sausages and sharing some of her favourite walks in the Wye Valley.
You can find all the recipes on Kate’s website: Humble by Nature, where you can also catch up on previous episodes.
