We might soon find out if an ESSE stove like the Mrs Sam model pictured in the Shackleton’s hut (in the set of pictures below) is on board Endurance.
An ESSE Mrs Sam cooker of this vintage can be seen by appointment in our Barnoldswick Showroom. Although made over 100 years ago cook stoves like Mrs Sam are the inspiration to modern ESSE cook stoves which include Bakeheart, Warmheart and Ironheart.
